New Study: Banks and “Trust”

Catalyst was very pleased to be invited by the Financial Communications Society to deliver a presentation at a recent member lunch. Just for fun, we conducted a survey and usability study that focused on the issue of “trust” in financial institutions. We’ve noticed that many banks are playing the trust card in their marketing and advertising campaigns – most likely in response to the massive erosion of trust that resulted from the recent economic crisis. So we wondered if any of these strategies were working… We looked at some traditional banks as well as two interesting newcomers: Ally Bank and Redneck Bank (yes, it’s a real bank).
